You have the right to complain or say that something is wrong. You will not lose support or be treated unfairly because you raise a concern, ask a question or request help from an advocate.

How to raise a complaint or concern

Speak to someone

Tell a member of staff, your keyworker, the Registered Service Manager, your social worker or another trusted professional.

Ask someone to help you

A parent, carer, social worker, advocate or trusted adult can help you raise the issue or speak on your behalf.

What happens after you raise it

Your concern will be listened to and passed through the appropriate management route. The current management escalation arrangement is:

Registered Service Manager David Ramsay → Nominated Individual Michael Callum

If the information raises a safeguarding concern or someone is at risk, it is escalated to the appropriate statutory safeguarding or emergency services where required.

If you still need help

  • Ask to speak to the Registered Service Manager.
  • Speak to your social worker, personal adviser or placing authority.
  • Ask for an independent advocate to help you understand your rights and make sure your views are heard.
